The problem
The Prophet ﷺ said: "It is not permissible for any Muslim who has something to bequeath to spend two nights without having his last will and testament written and kept ready with him."
Despite this clear guidance, the majority of Muslim families do not have a valid Islamic will. The reasons are practical, not theological. Faraid involves precise calculations across family relationships and madhab interpretations. Civil law requirements vary by province and country. Combining both into one document that holds up in court is a process most families never finish.
The existing options are fragmented — generic templates that may not meet provincial requirements, or expensive attorney-only routes that are out of reach for ordinary families.
